DATA DISCLOSURE AND PROTECTION

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, Sportsworld Group Limited (“we” and “us”) is an authorised data controller. In the following, “you”, “your” and “party member(s)” means the person who makes a booking with us and all other persons named on the booking as appropriate.

In order to process your booking, we need to collect certain personal details from you. These details may include, where applicable, the names, dates of birth and contact details of party members, credit/debit card or other payment details and information relating to any disability or medical condition which may affect the chosen arrangements and any dietary restrictions which may disclose your religious beliefs. If we need any other personal details, we will tell you before we obtain them from you. We need to pass on your personal details to the companies and organisations who need to know them so that your Wimbledon tour and/or tickets can be provided (for example an airline or hotel supplier, credit/debit card company or bank). Such companies and organisations may be located outside North America or the United Kingdom.

Occasionally we hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, for example mailing information to our customers. We only provide those companies with the personal details relating to our clients which they require in order to deliver the service. They are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. We will ensure that anyone to whom we pass your details for this reason agrees to treat it with the same level of protection we are obliged to provide.

Sportsworld is required by its contracts with the All England Club to maintain detailed records of who purchases Wimbledon tickets and tours and may be asked to supply this information on an occasional basis. This enables the All England Club to learn more about the demographic make-up of visitors to the Wimbledon Championships which will help them in their preparations for future events. We will only provide personal information as specifically required by our contract and, at all times, information will be treated in complete confidence. Although this information may be used to contact clients directly for survey purposes, personal information will not be used for any direct marketing or promotional purposes and will not be passed on to any other third party without your express consent. If you do not wish to be contacted under any circumstances you should tick the appropriate box on our online booking process.

We would also like to store and use your personal details for future marketing purposes (for example, sending you a brochure or details of a future event). All details you give us in connection with your booking (including those relating to any disability or medical condition or your religious beliefs) will be kept but we will use only names and contact details for marketing purposes (unless you have asked us not to). In the event that we are subject to a change of ownership or corporate structure, we may need to disclose your personal data to persons who need to know it in order for the transaction to proceed. If you do not want us to do any or all of these things, please let us know as soon as possible. We are entitled to assume you do not object to our doing any of the things mentioned in this statement unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

Except where expressly permitted by the Data Protection Act, we will only deal with the personal details you give us as set out above unless you agree otherwise. We have appropriate security measures in place to protect this information.

You generally have the right to request a copy of the personal details we hold which concern you but such requests must be made in writing. We may charge a small administration fee before complying with your request and in certain limited situations we may be entitled to refuse your request.
