Visitors to Wimbledon in 2009 will also have the new No. 2 Court to look forward to. Completely rebuilt, the show court's capacity has been improved to allow 4,000 spectators into the arena, with excellent views throughout.
Interestingly, the playing surface has been built 3.5 meters into the ground so as not to obstruct the views of neighbours to the All England Club, a decision that will only add to the court's unique intimate atmosphere. Dubbed 'The Graveyard of Champions', No 2 Court has seen many famous names grace its playing surface over the years, with Lleyton Hewitt, David Ferrer, and the Williams sisters all featuring in 2008.
